I recently had the opportunity to interview with this company. The recruiter round went fairly well, they asked standard HR questions. However, the second round was quite intense. It was a panel with three people, including senior security consultants and the hiring manager.
The interview felt more like a screening than a genuine assessment. Instead of focusing on my core skills or conceptual knowledge, they primarily asked whether I had experience with specific tools. When I mentioned I didn’t have direct experience with one of them but I know the process, it seemed to immediately count against me. Unfortunately, I was rejected, and it felt like they were more focused on filtering candidates out rather than evaluating potential or adaptability.
