I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Spotify (Stockholm, Stockholm) in May 2018
Interview
A current Spotify's employee referred me for the position. As a fresh graduate, I could only start the job at a specific date so the recruiter told me to reach out in a couple of months. The initial call was with a very nice recruiter who explained the process. The first technical interview was a 90min call with 2 engineers who ask about 20 quiz questions and a technical task to complete by sharing my screen and coding in Xcode. Everything went well and I moved onto the next step which consisted in a 60min interview with two managers, the topics discussed were usually cultural fit questions. After that, I was flown out for the onsite interview to Stockholm, with 2 nights in a very nice hotel booked for me, flights and everything sorted out by an external company. The onsite consisted of 3 interviews and a lunch with other team members. The interviews were average difficulty and very broad in topics. The first one was a show and tell project where I had to bring a project I worked on recently and explain it for 45 minutes. The second interview was again a cultural fit (very similar to the previous one, not sure why I did it again). After lunch, a problem solving interview was scheduled. The question was a medium difficulty algorithmic question to be solved and explained on the whiteboard. I received a pretty good offer for a specific team a few days later and I accepted it.
Chiamata introduttiva di 45 minuti con 2 persone di HR nel quale mi hanno introdotto spotify e spiegato il processo di selezione che consisteva in 3 step, il primo appunto questo, poi uno tecnico e l'ultimo tecnico misto personale

Interview
First was a call with the recruiter to discuss the team, role, culture, etc.
Then was a phone screen with two engineers and a leetcode-style question masked in the context of iOS.
Then there was onsite with a practical coding round (build an app), another leetcode question, a system design round, and a behavioral round.
The system design round was to build a feature in the spotify app. The leetcode question was probably a medium maybe hard, I didn't practice much so I found the implementation a tad difficult but the interviewer was super nice and helpful throughout the whole hour. The practical round was straightforward, and the behavioral round was pretty involved and felt quite important.
Everyone was super nice throughout the whole process.

Interview
applied > recruiter call . The recruiter was rude after calling me after seeing MY background on my resume and wanting to setup a call. She didn't sale the company or sound like she was interested in my candidacy. A week later I received the generic we have chosen other candidates (the listing is still posted) 🧐 🙄
