Interview process by hiring manager was smooth. Not much technical questions being asked. Focused more on behavioural questions. Hiring manager was polite and friendly. HR personnel in charge wasn’t professional. Question on why my expected salary was so demanding, in fact that was a norm as per market. HR personnel again asked on my current salary and made the statement “Wow! Why is your company paying so much for a person with your experience?”. Overall unprofessional conduct by the hr personnel. HR personnel should have done their work and understood the expectations of each candidate to avoid what had been described. HR should filter candidates based on their hiring criteria and not to surprise the candidate only during the interview as a sign of mutual respect.
