I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Sourceress
Interview
Thorough, challenging, engaging, and one of the better interview processes I've ever been through. Really enjoyed the onsite interview and meeting the team. There are multiple people who test on different things, and they clearly have a high bar for hiring.

Question 1
Lots of in depth questioning on my career history, accomplishments, and failures.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Sourceress in Feb 2019
Interview
Sent in resume via referral and had a phone interview with the Nick (exiting head of bus ops) within a week. Positive phone screen--talked about teams, creating process, etc and told I would be moving onto the next step. About 1 week later, updated that the role was changing and I would be doing a 1 hour strategy activity via skype with Josh (founder). Blocked out my afternoon for the activity, only to find out that it is a 5 minute call for Josh to explain the writing assignment they use to screen their entry level sourcers and writer. Josh hadn't read the background notes on file--and asked me 2 or 3 basic questions like "do you know what Sourceress does?"
After completing both halves of the assignment, I received a "thank you" and then was ghosted for 2 weeks until the "we've gone a different direction." No feedback provided on the process.
For a company that is focused on "changing the recruiting process" they seem to follow all the problems currently out there--unclear communication, ghosting, and failing to treat candidates as if their time is valuable as well.
