I'm glad to hear the interview process was friendly and welcoming! I understand it can be difficult to invest time into a project, especially when an offer isn't forthcoming, but I hope you can understand we use that exercise to test critical thinking, presentation skills and client interaction which are all super critical skillsets for success in CS roles at Smartrr. Our goal is never to extract anything from candidates but to make sure we have the right fit before offer (we find the fictional client QBR to be a very effective setting to test for skills in a short period of time and with limited work required from the candidate).
