My experience with SkyKick was incredibly unprofessional and disappointing.
All interviews were either rescheduled last minute or the interviewer was extremely late.
I decided that the lateness and rescheduling was due to their fast-paced chaotic startup environment and decided it was worth it as l was excited about the role and opportunity.
I was called by a Senior Recruiter and given a verbal offer for the position on Friday! I was so excited! I was told to start thinking about my start date, we reviewed benefits, my own parking spot, etc. He told me to expect the written offer by Tuesday morning at the latest. I followed up Wednesday to check in on my offer and heard nothing. I followed up again on Friday (1 week after the verbal) and was told that something came up and I should start looking for other opportunities but gave me zero information.
He then finally followed up with me 3 weeks after and told me that they offered the position to someone else with more experience. He then told me there was another program manager role but it was a much lower salary. I agreed to move forward with that role as the salary was originally what I requested. He then told me he would run this by the hiring manager, but I might have to interview again. This made absolutely no sense as I originally had an offer!
I then checked in with him 2 days later and he said it was approved by the hiring manager and they just need to talk to the COO for final approval to get me into the other PM position.
I followed up a few times and never heard from him or the company again. I actually believe he just made a mistake and accidentally offered me the position when it should have been delivered to someone else! If that was the case, then just own up to it.
I would be very careful working with this company! They clearly are unorganized and need to treat candidates with respect and professionalism.
