I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Simplifi in Jan 2021
Interview
The HR representative was nice but never followed up with me after the initial interview. It’s unprofessional to not offer feedback, a thank you, or polite rejection letter after an interview. The interview was unstructured. You could tell the interviewers have very little experience interviewing. They did not introduce themselves and did not seem friendly or truly open to getting to know me. They seemed to be too invested in their own performance, particularly the incoming director. The interview felt hostile and discriminatory. A comment was made about the type of hires they usually see - pretty, southern women. I am not any of those things and instantly felt inadequate. The company should invest in interview training. Lucky for them, I am not litigious. The leaders seemed threatened by knowledge and experience. A sign of a poor leader is the fear of hiring smart people. The mark of a seasoned leader is seeing value in bringing in smart capable individuals without feeling threatened. This may sound like feedback from a disgruntled I selected candidate, but I would not have taken the job if it were offered. I am hoping senior leaders read this post and closely examine the leadership they have in place. It’s not good for the organization’s success.

Question 1
Mostly behavioral questions were asked, and they were repetitive.
