The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Shopify (Ottawa, ON)
Interview
The interview process was unique in that they put a lot of emphasis on being conversational. Two calls with a recruiter, then two with members of the team they were hiring for. The last interview was a strange one. I spoke with the head of the team and there was no agenda. They didn't even know what the meeting was for. They said the meeting was booked for them and asked why I was there. Wasn't sure how to take that. Overall, I felt like I need to asker harder questions because they weren't full forthright on the position and what exactly I would be working on.

Question 1
You previously worked at [company]. What was your experience like doing [role] there?
Overall, I had a positive experience.
The process was exactly as outlined on their careers webpage with a Life Story and casual interviews. Everybody I met was very kind, and I was told at the end of each interview that I made it to the next round.
However, after several rounds of meeting team members, I heard silence.
They do a really good job of making candidates feel comfortable. If they think you're a good fit, they'll usher you through the interviews. It all happened within a month for me. But once you're taken off the shortlist they forget you. They're a big organization and have priorities, but it does sting a bit.
