While they were quick to reach out after I applied (which was via a recommendation from another employee), they immediately booked their "Life Story" interview, which from what I read was very vague and about the impact of your overall life and personality.
I researched a lot, a bit confused on what exactly that entailed despite searching around the web. Well, the interview was booked 2 weeks after the date of reaching. It took one hour, which was expected.
It was essentially a very unenthusiastic HR person making you go through each job in your resume, describing what you did and results. To which I was confused - didn't they read my resume?! But sure. I tried to be personal (since they mentioned they wanted that on their site) and talk about my impact and things I didn't have on my resume, etc. The questions were the same, - tell me the job, tell me your "impact" and then on to the next. The person was just taking notes, not sure they were listening. Then they described the role, and answered questions. They said they'd get back to me by EOW. A week and half later, nothing, so I followed up.
Then a few days later I get an automated message - thanks for applying but we went to another candidate. I responded saying thanks, etc, could you give me some feedback, just to be completely ghosted. I get that most companies can't provide feedback. However, I thought it was poor form to spend an hour with a candidate doing an interview that was just strange and about your personality/personal life, to then respond with an automated message. I was bit disappointed and confused, but oh well.
