The interview process really highlights how junior the leadership team assembled is. The interview does not have a objective rubric of success as most organizations do in hiring and is highly subjective due to topic and their mood of the day; the vast majority were analysts not long ago and do not have the analytical background to fairly judge competence. An example is an interviewer not understanding the varied uses of PCA nor how C-means differs from K. The only positive of the process is the feedback from recruiters which let me know that the least capable leader literally lied about our interactions on his recorded notes. This allows me to at least make a rational decision to not join a organization with this type of culture and standard of "leaders". Although if you are starting out in your career, I would definitely recommend because the bar is so low and provides decent pay.
