The interview was conducted online. Although the school claimed to be an IB institution, the interviewers demonstrated very little understanding of the IB framework. They seemed more focused on where I lived and my potential start date than on my professional experience and qualifications. Asking about my current salary was a major red flag, as it’s both inappropriate and unprofessional. Another concerning point was their emphasis on the idea that "all the teachers are like a big family" and that most live near the school—this felt more like a warning than a selling point. Responses to my questions were vague and evasive, which only added to the sense that the school lacked clear direction and professionalism.
