I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Shape Security (San Jose, CA) in Nov 2018
Interview
Lengthy, unprofessional and waste of time!
Knowing well in advance that I don't have CDN experience or background, asked me only questions about CDN (maybe insecure employees) completely ignoring my skill-set and strengths. Worse of all, they spent $3-4k on flying me to the US to tell me I don't have CDN knowledge which I never claimed in previous 4x interviews with them, one of them with VP. The feedback was absolutely useless stating the obvious and so was an experience which presents them as narrow-minded professionals with lack of decision making. The final round was set of 5-6 separate interviews after being interviewed 4 times earlier. Shape asked me loads of questions of how I run the program as they were building one so I hope they got the return on their expenses while wasting my months in-process and days of flight time.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Shape Security (Mountain View, CA)
Interview
The interview process was thorough, met with every C-suite exec and founder as well as members of the team I'd be working with. The product sold itself, the people were brilliant and motivate to bring joy to their customers through the product they offered.

Complex questions based on scenarios, very open minded staff who value data balanced with logical thought and articulate inference.

Interview
Hiring manager reached out to me through LinkedIn. I came in for an informal meeting, then several other meetings over several days with various execs and founders. Then a formal interview with engineers and staff. My interview process was atypical as I was reticent to leave my current position.
