      Talent Partner Interview

      13 May 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Sequoia in May 2026

      Interview

The recruiter initially reached out to me on LinkedIn, but during the phone screen it seemed she had not thoroughly reviewed my resume beforehand. After discussing my background, she expressed concern that my prior recruiting experience would be difficult to translate to the role because the company primarily recruits senior-level consultants with 10+ years of experience. This was surprising, as I have significant experience recruiting executive and C-suite candidates and have consistently demonstrated the ability to learn new domains quickly and work independently. Overall, the conversation left me feeling that my transferable skills and experience were not fully considered, and that I was being treated more as part of an outreach quota than as a serious candidate for the role.
