Applied for graduate positions through Jobs.ie. They were pretty quick to get back to me.
I had an initial telephone interview with HR about my experience and knowledge of the company. I pointed out that I only had a Level 7 degree which is normally a deal breaker but I had made a good impression with the guy over the phone so he asked me to come in anyway. The face to face was good, quite technical and they made sure that my CV was definitely correct, experiences and knowledge wise, without any mistakes etc.
The guys performing the interview were surprised to find out that I only had a Level 7 degree and managed to get the face to face interview. They questioned whether I had mentioned this over the phone. They then proceeded really test me and asked me difficult HR questions which I answered to the best of my abilities.
They finished the interview by telling me that unfortunately due to my degree level that I would not be feasible for the role but that I had giving really good answers to their questions.
I then performed a group technical and competency based test which was really good.
