I have been working at SAP full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Great colleagues to work with locally/globally who are always happy to share their career experiences from senior management to lower level! Have worked with super managers who are encouraging, positive & that take action!
    - Learning & development is core and is available to those that want to progress!
    - Volunteering is encouraged & many communities within are open to new initiatives that colleagues have a passion for!
    - Flexi time is a huge plus & really helps to achieve that life balance. or option to work from home when we need it!
    - Benefits in SAP are fantastic! Constant programs & visitors onsite to promote a healthy wellbeing through bike to work, masseuse onsite weekly, mindfulness, nutritionist visits, free healthy lunch everyday etc.

    Cons

No cons - great company to work for! Adapts to change continuously!

I have been working at SAP full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I have been at SAP Ireland for many years and really enjoy coming to work. The work itself can be challenging but there is a great atmosphere around the office and it is reassuring to have colleagues (local & virtual) that you can rely on for help.
If you are driven to succeed there are a lot of opportunities locally & globally with SAP.

    Cons

Globally, like any large multinational with 90,000+ employees, there can be some politics between different areas of the company. While this is not something you find locally in Ireland there can be trickle-down effects from global organization.

    Advice to Management

Cross LoB team building: As the number of employees in Ireland grows beyond 2,000+ it will be even more important that HR & management make efforts to keep different individuals/teams/areas communicating locally.

I have been working at SAP full-time

    Pros

Great way to kick start your IT career

    Cons

Not enough value is set on the employee

    Advice to Management

Value older employees by rewarding them. Employee rentention is more valuable than keeping up with hiring new people at the national salary average. Because then you end up with new starters earning more than people who’ve been with the company for some time.

I worked at SAP full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great team , managers and employees very nice and easy to get along with. Training was great and got me up to speed very quickly.

    Cons

Very repetitive but can be solved by getting involved with different internal teams. Otherwise it is a nice job with good holidays.

I have been working at SAP full-time

    Pros

The work can be really interesting and depending on your manager you can have good work/life balance.

    Cons

Middle management can be unskilled in leadership though highly skilled technically. There can be massive cultural differences that aren't handled by HR. The pay is really bad.

I have been working at SAP full-time

    Pros

Good work life balance for employees

    Cons

Steeper pay increases each year could be better, as it can be lower than employers in similar fields

I have been working at SAP full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

flexibility, (mostly) relaxed working environment, free lunch, zero discrimination
Can grow quickly if you play your cards right. Work from home. Great pension scheme

    Cons

Terrible salary vs Irish market and even internally in global SAP environment. Places with lower cost of living paid more for exact same role(internal).
New joiners on high salaries than people there 2 years.
No consideration for cost of living in Ireland given to salary increases.
Team managers try to help but are given terrible budgets for increases.
Pension is great, but not when you're 25 and making around 60% of your peers you graduated with.

    Advice to Management

If upper management fixed the salary issue it would be one of the best places to work in Ireland. Genuinely a 20% increase in most peoples salary is what is needed.
Unfortunately, this isnt going to happen, only choice is to leave to another company or move to another SAP location with good salary (america / canada /germany ).
