      Senior Analyst Interview

      2 Sept 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Charlottesville, VA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at SAIC (Charlottesville, VA) in Aug 2018

      Interview

I applied online via the SAIC career portal and was contacted by a recruiter within 3 days. The first step was a 15 minute phone screen with the recruiter (who requested it be completed same day), followed by a lengthy phone interview with the hiring manager about a week or 10 days after the phone screen. SAIC updated my application to "no longer under consideration" on the website 2 weeks after the interview; I never heard another word from the recruiter or hiring manager, even after a FIFTY-MINUTE interview conducted while I was on vacation. Typical "Beltway Bandit" behavior - ghosting after such a promising start.

      Interview

Fairly straightforward and was more of a conversation. They asked me some questions from my resume and wanted to know if I was able to get a secret security clearance.

      Senior Analyst Interview

      28 Apr 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Tysons Corner, VA
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I interviewed at SAIC (Tysons Corner, VA)

      Interview

Hiring manager was unprepared for interview and did not review my resume at all. Manager was not very thorough with the questions. I found the interview to be very surprisingly very easy and short. I felt that they needed a warm body to take over the position that a previous employee left abruptly. Hiring manager looked at cellphone constantly and frequently interrupted interview. Hiring manager did not take notes nor ask very challenging or intelligent questions at all. Found interviewer to be very aloof and boring.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What did you do at last job? What was your title? What was it like there? Can you do this job? Can you work with multiple people? How is your excel skills? Basic interview questions and nothing substantial. Found interview to be incredibly easy and boring compared to most companies that I have worked for.
