I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Ross Stores (Brandon, FL) in Jun 2018
Interview
The process went better then I had planned. I applied 3 weeks prior to my interview. In order for them to pull your application, you do have to call the store and ask to speak to management. After this ask them if they can pull your application. The reason for this is because they are technically always hiring so they have thousands of applications. I got a call a week later, went in for my interview and we were basically just having a normal conversation about my past experience (which is food service) so don’t be scared to apply if you don’t have any retail experience. My interviewer asked me if I wanted to be trained to move higher up in the company, thats when I knew I had gotten the job.

Question 1
What’s a bad experience you have had with a customer at your previous job and how did you deal with it?
The interview process at Ross Dress for Less consisted of meeting with a store manager to discuss my customer service experience, cash handling skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. I was asked situational questions about handling customers, teamwork, and resolving problems. The process was straightforward and focused on my availability, work ethic, and ability to support store operations
Fast and easy! They mainly asked about my previous work experiences and my availability. They also asked what great customer service is like to you and why I would be a good fit to the company.
I was interviewed over the phone and than asked to come in person. So I could meet the team and talk to them. It wasn't too hard but it was kind of a waste as I didn't get a call back.
