The application included 2 minute video about why you want to work there, resume and quiz to be completed before interview. The interview was general questions about retail and customer service as well as a passion for books.

Question 1
Describe your favourite book and why I should read it
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Robinsons Bookshop
Interview
The in-person interview itself was fine, interviewed by one of the owners and it felt very unstructured. Not in like a "this is conversational and laid-back" sort of way. More so like they had no idea what to ask.
It was a lengthy interview process for a retail position which I honestly felt was a little over the top. A phone screen, zoom call, then in person interview with tasks to complete like it was high school. The salary didn't justify the interview process.
I didn't feel respected by the process as it also took nearly 2 months for an answer from the initial induction of the process.
Overall it wasn't a good interview experience compared to others I've had.

Question 1
Questions about my experience and what I like to read.
I applied online. I interviewed at Robinsons Bookshop (Melbourne)
Interview
Mostly generic for bookshop interviews - asked about reading interests, availability, prior experience. Didn't have tasks to do, was mainly informed that the store I had applied for was not hiring, but they had other stores looking for staff.
The interview invitation and offer came very quickly.
