I applied online. I interviewed at RingCentral (San Jose, CA) in Aug 2017
Interview
First an email from recruiter 1 asking me to list my experience in a particular area. I was then told I would have a phone screen, but they neglected to say who with. When I asked for the name or role of the person I would talk to, I received no response.
Then a phone screen with recruiter 2. Typical questions. He ended the screen asking about salary range. It was at this point we realized I would be on the high end of what they were thinking of paying. He said he wanted to talk to the hiring manager and he would get back to me. And...he didn't.
A previous colleague of mine had made it to onsite interviews and deep into the process. When I got the call for the phone screen, I reached out to my friend to find out what happened. He didn't know. They never followed up even after he pinged them. I don't expect a follow up from a phone screen even though the recruiter said he would do it. But I do think that my friend should have received at least an email telling him they decided to keep looking.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at RingCentral (Denver, CO) in Jun 2018
Interview
I was contacted after interviewing a few months ago for a different role. Initial interview with the recruiter was set up quickly and covered high level job scope, previous responsibilities, and compensation. Within one week a series of six hour-long interviews was scheduled and conducted. Final interviews included senior leadership members. The entire process took about one month prior to an offer being extended. All the individuals I met with were clearly talented and passionate about this role, and asked very pertinent questions about previous experience and expectations.

Question 1
Explain your previous experience building new organizations from scratch.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at RingCentral (Centennial, CO) in Sept 2017
Interview
Contacted first my external search firm for two rounds of interviews. Had phone interview with hiring manager followed by two hours of on-site interviews in Denver (job location) and finally day-long interviews in Belmont. Process was appropriately thorough. Search firm was experienced. Internal recruiting staff were fairly green but very nice people. Plenty of opportunity to ask questions and share concerns through the process both with the search firm as well as the hiring manager. Overall, process flowed well and was 10 weeks from first interview to offer.
