      I interviewed at RingCentral

      Interview

Applied to RingCentral, crushed the phone screen, landed a video interview with the site manager, thought it went fine. Fast forward two+ months: absolutely zero follow-up. I even reached out to the recruiter again—fully ghosted. I know I probably didn’t make the next round, but wow, closure is free. 😂

      Question 1

How do you juggle multiple tasks at once?
      Answer question

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at RingCentral in Jul 2024

      Interview

I interviewed with the recruiter 1st, then the hiring manager, and then his supervisor. The interview with the hiring manager went very well. I felt fairly confident, but did not hear back for 2 weeks, when I did they scheduled an interview with the Sr. Director of Facilities, This interview began with him telling me he only had my cover letter, but he did not have a copy of my resume. I offered to email him one but he declined, in a way that made me feel I was at fault for him not having it. He had no prepared questions for me, seemed very unengaged, and made me fill like I was wasting his time. About the only question asked was me asking him "what opportunities could I be most useful to him with in the 1st 6 months. He told me that was a question for [the hiring manager] told him how the hiring manager answered, and he asked my for a 30-60-90 plan to address it. I felt this was a big ask to answer this in an interview with limited time, however he seemed to like the answer(?] I felt it would have been a good question to ask all of the candidates prior to the interview so there would be a level playing field. I did take the time after the interview to write out the 30-60-90 day plan, He ended the interview asking me who i had interviewed and when I told him when I explained I had only met with the hiring manager, he questioned why I hadn't done a panel interview yet. I told him I would follow up with the recruiters to see if i had missed something. The interview was less than 15 minutes, one of the most unprofessional interviews I've encountered. IT with took an additional 2 weeks to get the rejection email. It was very disheartening, and I felt disrespectful to know how much time and effort is put into drafting a new resume for every job I apply for only to wonder if the people making the decision ever even looked at it. I followed up with the recruiters and asked for honest feedback- all they could say was the loved my experience and hope I'll apply for roles more suited to the role, but yet offered no productive feedback as to what I was lacking For the experience I have, any other role with them would be career pivot- they do not offer these types of roles regularly- and I had been wanting and waiting for this one to come open for close to 3 years- I checked the postings weekly. This rejection was a little harder to take as it was the dream job with the company I had admired and dreamed about working for. I've adjusted my perception of this company appropriately.
