*Red Flags* *Don't interview/work here*
Unprofessional experience. Not serious people at all.
First interview was canceled at last minute telling me the position had been filled. I reapplied a week later and got an interview...
Interviews are recorded and reviewed by the company's owner. Pretty creepy feeling and not normal at all. What happens to the recorded interviews? If the owner wants to see if someone is a good fit then jump on the call during the interview - don't creepily record somebody.
The role is a 1099 contractor role which was not advertised in the job description. Low-pay and no benefits with a carrot hanging of potential commission.
Expected to work weekends which was not advertised.
The job title was changed mid-interview and the interviewer said the title and responsibilities would change again. He said the role was partly based on commission.
The interviewer was vague about job duties and said payment was through a PayPal like system.
Second round interview:
The interviewer sent three different links (two different Zoom rooms and one Google Meet link) out for the same interview.
The interviewer looked at me and said "any reason why you should have this job?" in a very contentious manner. All basic questions but the interviewer seemed to have a certain look in mind for the role.
I did 2 rounds of interviews and the interviewer said the company would get back to me the following week but she completely ghosted me despite me emailing for a thank you and a follow-up 2 weeks later.
I emailed again three weeks after the second interview and received a response that the owner didn't think I fit with the role despite never interviewing with him.
