I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Quantcast (San Francisco, CA) in Sept 2016
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter. I then had two phone screens. The phone screens were friendly and very focused on machine learning. The folks there have interesting backgrounds and asked very pointed questions. Ultimately, I didn't get an offer though the experience was ok.
Overall I got the impression that their work was interesting and that they have strong momentum in their problem space.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Quantcast (London, England) in Feb 2016
Interview
Very efficient and pleasant process. I submitted my CV, got a response from HR the next day. A phone interview one week later. Phone interview was technical with questions of intermediate difficulty. I failed 1-2 of the technical questions and did not proceed to the next stage. Despite this negative outcome, I was impressed by the efficient interview process.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Quantcast (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2015
Interview
The hiring process consisted of two phone interviews (technical) followed by an on-site follow up. The interview had a strong focus on probability and statistics; mainly on how to model problems, and evaluate the assumptions made in order to get a tractable solution. I found the interviews challenging but came away with a good feeling. The interviewers were engaging and dropped hints when they found me struggling. Most of the interview questions are based on actual scenarios encountered at Quantcast.
