Long interview process.
1) Received a phone call from the recruiter. Asked my salary, expectations and all other details. Scheduled the interview.
2) 2 rounds were taken by data scientists.
3) Final round was taken by the director of the data science department who didn't seem to have much knowledge in this field. Anyways, I did well in all the rounds.
4) Was ghosted ever since and finally told I didn't make it through.
2 of my friends who interviewed at the company had the same bad experience - performed well in all rounds, but not selected. Later got to know that the company has no projects, no money to recruit and pay experienced employees. Their job postings asking for 8 years experienced data scientists are all a farce. I see the same job posting out there even after almost a year. Most of their employees are interns or freshers who get paid 15k per month. Why waste the time of jobseekers when you have no intention of recruiting and no money to pay experienced employees?
