I applied through university. I interviewed at Property Share (Bengaluru) in Jun 2023
Interview
There are three interviews, one with HR, which is all about behavioural and HR questions. You have the technical round, which dwells deep into finance with topics of NPV., IRR, Investments, Tax proportions, etc. and the third and final round with the CEP, which comprises all questions.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Property Share (Bengaluru) in Jun 2020
Interview
I had a basic first round where in they checked my communication skill and confidence.
Second round went pretty well. The VP of the department took my Interview based on the excel sheet they provided two days prior. This too went well and everything seemed vary positive.
Third round is where all my rage goes into. This round was with Mr. Kunal Moktan, the CEO of the org. After getting to know my background, his point was, "you don't seem to have any experience in any financial advisory role prior" to which I responded that, " I do invest my money and do know about investment and stock market and given the opportunity, I can learn the rest and deliver", to which he asked me the definition of PE ratio and I gave absolutely a correct answer.
Two days later, i get a call stating that I wasn't shortlisted, the reason being , I have no prior experience in any financial role.
My point is, why even shortlist a candidate despite knowing that your CEO wouldn't approve of someone who isn't from a Finance background?
The same thing happened with another one of my friend who had experience in the banking sector. They took 4 rounds for him in one month's timeline and then rejected him, didn't even give him a reason.
This is the professionalism they follow. would definitely not recommend anyone.
