They asked me about a very specific and complex case from their company that was difficult to analyze; they also required skills that are not typical for a Data Engineer, and when I told them that they were not looking for a data engineer but a software engineer, they responded rudely. They don't know what they are looking for, or they simply want to save costs.
You upload your CV and motivation letter online and get asked for an online interview with manager and team coördinator. You have pretty relaxed chat about job expectation, your previous experience, etc.
