      UI/User Experience Design Interview

      20 Jun 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Boston, MA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Pavlok (Boston, MA) in Jun 2016

      Interview

The Interview process is very unorganised and unprofessional. The interview process was of 5 day interview. First round was call interview in which about my past experience was asked and some general questions. The second round was good in which I was asked to work with UI designer and notes the flaws. The next two rounds were designing on boarding screens with UI designer, after which I was told that I am a good fit for this role and they will send out an appointment letter. After few day, I get email saying that CEO, who was not available throughout my interview process has now to test me on coding as well. So I agreed, moreover he didn't made it to office that day as well and I was asked to give a test. Which I gave and I consider it was good, but few days later I get an email saying that they couldn't hire me and that too with unreasonable reason. The only thing which pissed me off, was after being so patient with the whole unorganised process and working with them for 2 complete days, they first promise me to hire me and then didn't offer me the position. How so ever the product is, good or bad? I don't know, but the hiring process is definitely unprofessional.

      UI/User Experience Design Interview

      29 Jun 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Boston, MA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Pavlok (Boston, MA) in Jun 2016

      Interview

The first round was a telephonic interview. There were technical questions referring to my specific experience in previous organisations. Most of the questions were straight forward. However, they planted few challenging questions in the process checking depth of my knowledge and experience. Then there was in-person interview where I spent a day at their office. I worked along with their UI expert where I got opportunity to prove my technical skills. I had an opportunity to meet the team I was expected to work with and it was really comforting. The environment was very professional. The interview ended with small meeting with the founder of the company where he shared the vision and company prospects.
