I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Nordstrom in Nov 2020
Interview
Went during the national hiring event (once a year around late October/Early November just in time for the holiday's). If you apply for a job on there website prior, you will receive an email about the event. Sat w/ HR and a manager for the role I was interviewing for. Interview was approximately 7 questions. They use the STAR method- prepare for those type of questions then afterwards, they ask what do you know about Nordstrom, and your availability. I was able to receive an offer same day for $14.25/hr, approx 25-30 hours/week w/ benefits. They do not drug test for inquiring minds- at least not during my time.

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Nordstrom (Valencia, CA) in Mar 2018
Interview
Applied online through the Nordstrom Careers website for a new store opening. Received an email a few days later to schedule my interview. My interview took place at a local hotel bc the store wasn’t finished yet. I had a group interview (about 12 people) where the managers talked about the company and the different positions available. You then watch a video about the company and they ask a few questions, try to speak up! We were then pulled aside for 2 separate one-on-one interviews. Both of my interviewers were very kind and made me feel comfortable. They each ask you about 6 questions and take notes on your answers. Overall a good experience. Three days after my interview I received a call offering me a temporary position, which I accepted.
