I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Nordstrom in Dec 2019
Interview
The process was professional yet casual. I met the hiring manager on the floor and they gave me a tour of the department. Later we went to the Nordstrom cafe and spoke at length about my retail experience and interest in fashion. After about 30 minutes of questions, we returned back to the sales floor, and the manager gave me a sales scenario. The manager pretended to be a customer and allowed me to sell her an item from the store. The exercise took about 5 minutes.

Question 1
"Tell me about a time you gave a customer good service."
So easy, I went to a job fair and was hired on the spot. They need people in the kids department, that's the easiest section to get into. They just ask about your personality and who you are.
Was inside Barton creek mall, hiring manager was prompt and clear with questions ranging from how I would handle difficult customers, to my personal experiences that could apply to the job.
