I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Nordstrom (Allentown, PA) in Feb 2018
Interview
I applied online. I was contacted by email to set up a brief phone interview. At the end of the phone interview, I was asked to go in for an in-person one-on-one interview. Questions were easy-average interview questions, and the interviewer was very nice. I was told they would make their decision in a few days. I never received a notification from anyone either way, which I was pretty surprised by for a company like Nordstrom.
Easy and quick open interviews. First job and where I learned to dress right and work hard. Still to this day use the customer service skills learned here. Moved from cashier to sales quickly.
It was a group interview with a few other candidates. We were all greeted and taken into an office room where the interview took place. One of the managers conducted the interview.

Question 1
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What is your previous work experience? What do you know about Nordstrom's?
Overall pretty easy. Talked with general manager and they weren't looking for much experience. I just talked about why I wanted the job and how I was qualified. The role was open for a few weeks before I found it so I knew they were a little desperate.
