I went through two rounds during the internship selection process — one technical and one non-technical (HR). The technical round primarily focused on my core concepts, programming skills, and problem-solving ability. I was asked questions related to data structures, basic algorithms, and a few coding problems. It required a good understanding of the fundamentals and presence of mind under pressure.
The second round was a non-technical interview, which mostly involved HR questions. This round tested my communication skills, confidence, and cultural fit. I was asked about my strengths, weaknesses, future goals, and how I handle different scenarios like conflicts or tight deadlines. They also asked situational and behavioral questions to understand my mindset.
The experience can vary depending on the interview panel. In my case, it was quite challenging. The HR was very particular about clarity and honesty in responses, and they kept digging deeper into every answer I gave. It was a learning experience that highlighted how important both technical knowledge and soft skills are during interviews. Preparation, confidence, and staying calm under pressure made a big difference for me.
