I applied for this role back in March and the Senior Executive HR reached out to schedule an interview with the hiring manager in June. Given the tight 30-minute slot, the hiring manager focused specifically on understanding my experience and interest in the role.
The HR was present during the interview but did not provide any information about the role itself, which I understand. It makes sense for that time to be dedicated to the hiring manager’s questions. After the interview, the HR suggested that I email her directly if I had any further questions about the position. I did so, but unfortunately, I received no response.
Despite sending three follow-up emails, the HR remained completely unresponsive. I genuinely wanted to clarify whether the position was a contract or full-time role and to clarify the application timeline. I completely understand that the HRs are busy managing many candidates and daily tasks, but ignoring follow-up questions, especially after specifically suggested to email her, this comes across as unprofessional. The attitude was completely different prior to the interview.
I would suggest that NNI review its internal HR processes to ensure more consistent communication and professionalism with candidates.

Interview
Pretty straightforward and questions. They check for your overall communication skills and whether you have scientific research background. Not a must, but a plus. Interviewer is friendly, but depends on what research you are assigned to. HR will sit in during the interview, but she does not ask a lot.
