      Senior Product Manager Interview

      22 May 2012
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Santa Clara, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at NVIDIA (Santa Clara, CA) in Jul 2011

      Interview

I had very high recommendations for several highly placed employees (dir, vp). Took forever to get anyone to even call back. Then they scheduled the interview on the one day I explicitly said I could not be there. Had to reschedule for 2 weeks later. While walking to the interview room we ran into another former colleague, he gave an unprompted glowing review. None of the 3 Interviewers seem to have read my resume. I was asked simple questions, not something you would ask someone with 20 years experience who has run 10 million dollar product lines. Yes the job was a step down, but I wanted to get into the company first, then move later. The interview with the hiring manager felt like he was afraid I would take his job. I wasn't even given the courtesy of a call to say "no". I had to find out from my referrals. I got another interview request from a different group later on. But the VP was too busy to find a date to interview, despite being my being very open on time and place. In general I found the whole process very unprofessional. My perception is that they want to drive people as hard as they can, and pay as little as possible.

      Interview questions [2]

      Question 1

Paraphrasing - This is a new line of products in a new market. We need to come up with a new brand identity for this, but not conflict with the other products we sell. And not make it look like we are lessening our commitment to this other product line, even thought his will replace it eventually. By the way, there's no marketing budget. How would you do that?

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at NVIDIA in Oct 2021

      Interview

Wow.. unbelievable interview. Hiring Senior Product manager talked for 37min about non-technical things (45min interview) of what he's looking for. In the end, he says, you're overqualified, you'll be bored and you're not a good fit. End of interview. Unbelievable. I expected better.

I applied in-person. I interviewed at NVIDIA (Hyderābād) in Oct 2017

      Interview

I got call from PUNE HR for Project Manager position in Hyderabad to manage 200 members.I went to Hyderebad office for interview. I was interviewed by a person who does not know basics of interview process. For my exp questions were aksed which were totally irrelevant on Artificial intelligence. Not even a single question was asked on project management concepts. I felt its my waste of time attending it.

      Senior Project Manager Interview

      7 Jan 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Austin, TX
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at NVIDIA (Austin, TX) in Dec 2015

      Interview

For me, the interview process was a little different since I knew the hiring manager from a previous company. I had an initial interview with him to determine if the job was a good fit for my skills. Once we both agreed, there was an onsite interview with the hiring manager and three other development managers that I would be working with. It was scheduled back-to-back, 45 minutes each, one person at a time. They were informative, asked good questions, it felt relaxed and not difficult. I felt this reflects the culture of their workplace and am looking forward to working there.
