      Writer Interview

      29 Jan 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Portland, OR
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at NIKE (Portland, OR) in Oct 2015

      Interview

I first met on the main campus with the group's director. We met in the cafe, and had a distraction filled 40 minute chat. Seriously, this cafe is filled with like 40 TVs blaring all sorts of sporting events, and there were people milling around and walking past us all the time. But after that interview the director arranged for me to meet the team. And we met in a conference room at their offices. The biggest problem is that the director prepared me to angle my responses one way, while the team was apparently seeking the opposite. There seemed to be very alignment between what the team wanted, versus what the director wanted. And, since the director isn't as involved in the day-to-day, the team was the final decider.
