I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at NEXT in Sept 2020
Interview
The phone interview is very easy going, mainly asking about your experience for the role and availability. There was also one question related to coronavirus.
For the in store interview, you fill in relevant paperwork with the interviewer using your right to work documents in the staff room while they ask you about your experience and availability. Then you’re taken up to the shop floor to see how you interact with customers and tasked to build an outfit for a specific occasion. Not sure what exactly they’re looking for as I didn’t get the job and the reason they gave was ‘your customer service just isn’t quite there’ and ‘it comes with experience’. I don’t really believe this feedback as I greeted every customer that walked in and assisted a few on the shop floor, plus have 5/6 years of retail experience...
Interview questions [2]
Question 1

Efficent and informative. provided the overall expectation of the job and what they expect from you. allowed you to choose from different times. instore assessment showed you more of what to expect from the job.
The interview was a very easy process, it was done through a phone interview first than an in person interview asking questions about myself and why should they pick me.
