      Team Lead Interview

      26 Nov 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Manila, Manila
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Movate (Manila, Manila) in Nov 2024

      Interview

The interview process was lacking a system, step-by-step process or sequence to be honest. I went to the site/office itself, answered an internal application form then was informed that my interview would be at a certain time. After waiting for about 15 minutes, I was informed that it was going to be done through an online interview and I could go home. I waited for the interview time but was informed that it would be set the next day and I would receive an invite. The meeting invite never came it any correspondence. Next day, I waited but was informed via SMS that the interview was going to be set 2 days after since the manager was from another site and that would be the available time at which it was set Thursday 9pm. I received the invite on the same meeting day, Thursday at 7:39pm but the meeting was set to be at 10:30pm. So I got my bearings and business attire all set, dialed in but was surprised that it was not an on-video call interview but rather just through audio (butterflies in the stomach lessened). Surprised once more that my resume was not forwarded to the corporate recruiter that setup the interview and she asked me to send her the digital copy of it. When the manager dialed in she was silent for about 5 minutes (I believed she was waiting for the recruiter to send her also a copy of my resume). When everything was set such as my resume was with the manager then the interview started. From how things were going I was being reluctant to push through with the interview itself as I was accustomed to things like the interview process to be streamlined. Answered her questions but from my perspective I was already giving half-hearted replies as the interview itself felt so monotonous and me being reluctant of pushing further my application to the company due to what had happened. The interview itself lasted for about 15-20mins I think. I was informed that I would be receiving my feedback through the recruiter from the manager the next day via email. To this day, I never received any further email. I get that I did not get the position but when you have been informed that you will get feedback, I would assume that you should at least get a 2 sentenced email.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Typical questions but I believe the interviewer was winging it with the questions and basing it of on some my answer since she had no time to review my resume as I was, in a way "reading off" my answers that can be easily read through my resume.

      Team Lead Interview

      19 Nov 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Chennai
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Movate (Chennai) in Oct 2020

      Interview

The interviewer had half the experience than me, he was not a lead himself(as a policy in my company, we get candidates interviewed by someone at least of their position if not higher - it is required because unless someone has served the role that he/she is interviewing for, the interview will never be effective) and he was asking very theoretical and one point questions. I was being interviewed for a Lead position and he was asking which multicast IP address this works on, and what is the DHCP option for a particular service - these questions are direct and informational. I explained what all these things are, and gave him the numbers as far as I remembered. But apparently, I sounded less confident. After a certain level of experience, unless it is very common or you are working on it day in and day out, nobody will remember which service works on which port and stuff like that. I have conducted over 400 interviews myself for the positions ranging from L1 to L4 - the questions have to be changed according to the levels and experience. It seemed like he didn't even look at my CV, and was asking random questions by Googling. He was also late to the meeting.

DHCP options, what does the status column show after a stack upgrade, DORA process, DHCP options.
