I had a conversation with both a Recruitment Manager and a Technical Lead after applying for a role via Indeed. Following my application, the Recruitment Manager appeared impressed with my CV, and a meeting with both him and the Technical Lead was arranged promptly.
However, by the end of the discussion, there was little clarity around the next steps in the process. I followed up for feedback after 10 days, at which point I was told it would be shared in the coming days. Unfortunately, I never received any further communication. Despite sending an additional follow-up email, I received no response and was ultimately left without any closure.
I find it quite unprofessional to be ghosted after investing time and effort into discussing a role. While I understand that employers may be engaging with a high volume of candidates, a simple follow-up or acknowledgment would have demonstrated basic courtesy and professionalism.
