Interview
The process was split into three steps: a remote interview via Skype, an in-person technical interview, and another in-person cultural interview. These interviews were all with different people.
Skype interview:
-Presentation, talking about academic/professional background, past projects
-Basic questions about OO programing and software engineering
-Live coding excercise - Count all even numbers in an array, iteratively and recursively
-What kind of work I would be interested in doing
On-site technical interview:
-Presentation, past experience, academic background
-45 ish minutes of theoretical questions about Java, Android, Web and Software Engineering patterns
-20 ish minutes of practical excercises
-10 ish minutes of informal questions (in English)
-What websites i use to keep up to date
-What frameworks i've used (Android and Web)
-Technical books i'm reading
On-site cultural interview:
-Talk about myself, what kind of person am I. Describe the previous work environment. If i could change anything, what would it be.
-Talking about travels i've made. Talk about food I can make.
-Salary expectations.
Java questions: OO programing features, inheritance, composition, aggregation, Array vs ArrayList vs LinkedList vs HashSet, interface vs abstract class
