Got called only a day after I applied. I was so qualified that I was asked to interview for TWO positions. Well, I was interviewed for one. I honestly felt like I wasn't wanted there, and at the end of the interview, I could pretty much guess why. If you have any sort of individuality, don't apply. If you have any visible tattoos, piercings, "extreme" hair color, or more than one SIMPLE DIAMOND STUD in each ear, you won't be hired. I guarantee you that's why I wasn't hired. I would've happily dyed my hair to a "normal" color, and I had even taken my piercings out for the interview. But had I of known about the tattoos, I wouldn't have applied. Nowhere when I was applying did it say there was a dress code, so I'm letting you all know:
No visible tattoos
No "extreme" hair color
No facial piercings
And only one diamond stud per ear
If you can't meet that, don't even bother applying. When I walked in, I honestly felt so unwelcome. I'm glad they denied me to be honest.
This isn't me trying to degrade their business because I've never used them, but I will tell you they do NOT want people who look "like me" working for them. So this is just a heads up to let any of you individuals "like me" to save you your valuable time, and to keep you from disappointment. Now I completely understand dress codes and I am not here to disrespect their dress code, what I am here to do is make it known that ANY company should have it be known as to what the dress code is so that way applicants can know. Let's be honest, I like my "extreme hair" and my tattoos, and if I would've known the dress code, I would've respected it and looked for employment elsewhere.
LET PEOPLE KNOW THE DRESS CODE BEFORE THEY APPLY.
