I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Marshalls (Warren, MI) in Apr 2014
Interview
Greg hired me who was moved to another store a short time after I began working there. Greg was a wonderful positive person to work for! I am sorry to say that the rest of the management did not share his positive and upbeat attitude. We had a one on one session where I believed he gave a very fair interview based upon the fact that he asked you simple questions determining how much common sense you possessed.

Question 1
I had previously worked with my hiring manager so it was a no-brainer for him. We got along really well and basically discussed my availability and made small talk.
Asked what availability I have for part time seasonal work. Asked about historical job experience, how to handle specific tasks, asked for references. Asked if you can lift to a certain weight and stock items etc.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Marshalls
Interview
Pretty short and straight to the point. Ask you basic scenarios, past work experiences, all that good stuff. They also ask technical questions like are you a us citizen and what not. But overall super easy.
The interview process was quite easy and the interviewers were nice. There was a 10 minute phone screening and then a 20 minute interview with the manager at the store location.
