I applied online. I interviewed at Marriott International in Feb 2024
Interview
It was very casual and my managers were very interactive. There was a lot of transparency of what they were looking for in an employee. Probably my best interview yet.

Interview
Applied online. Called to check on application. Didn't hear back for about 2.5 weeks, finally got a call for an interview. Interviewed with the person who contacted me and the GM (did not know this beforehand). I was expecting the STAR method due to all of the other reviews, but instead the interview was very relaxed and informal. I guess it depends on the property you apply at and the staff there. It was the best interview I have ever had, and we got along great. Yet, I received the lovely rejection email. I really don't think I could have done anything differently; maybe they had an internal hire. Despite this, it was an overall positive experience and I will apply for future openings.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Only STAR question asked was how I handled a difficult customer.

Interview
The questions were about the other past experiences and the school background. The interview was with the manager and the HR person, both were really kind. The interview was about 20 minutes.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Marriott International (Boston, MA) in Mar 2017
Interview
Emailed back and forth a bit, but scheduled a good time to go in and interview. They use the STAR method where they only ask about your behavior at past jobs so don't waste time reading their mission statement or preparing why you would be a good fit for the position.
