      Developer Interview

      2 Oct 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Manx Telecom

      Interview

One of the most confusing interview processes I've ever had and received very mixed signals from the company. I applied online via an agency and they were convinced I was ideal for the role. Heard nothing. Then, out the blue, 3 months later they confirmed a telephone interview. As the role seemed ideal, I accepted and did the telephone interview. A very pleasant experience with two nice development managers and it was told that they'd be making me an offer but would like to meet me in person first. So I went to the interview, again a very pleasant experience. The interviewers went to great lengths to convince me how lovely the company was and how well I would fit in. Again told that I'd be receiving an offer. Left the building in no doubt that they wanted to hire me. Waited weeks, had to push the agency for feedback over and over. Finally told I wasn't a team fit unfortunately. Baffled to be told one thing to my face then have it retracted to the agency weeks later.
