I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Macy's (Dededo, GU) in Mar 2011
Interview
I walked in to the interview area which was next to the women's shoe department, and waited with the other candidates for the hiring manager to interview us. After a few minutes, I was called to a closed off section (the gift wrap area) to continue with the interview. The hiring manager was friendly, but as soon as she realized I had a bachelor's degree, I could see the change in her demeanor. Needless to say, I was not offered the position, even though I was clearly overqualified. I assume they want employees who don't have a college degree backing them.

Interview
Applied online and received an e-mail to set up an interview within that same week. Showed up on the scheduled day and waited in HR until I was called on, the interview went okay. A lot of behavioral questions since they wanted someone who'd step in and work as a cashier at times.

Interview
Lady who interviewed me was 20 minutes late. Very polite but seemed biased since I had no experience. I tried to answer her questions with what she wanted to hear and match my sills to the jobs required skills.
