It was to show my portfolio and listen to the CEO to brag about how great his company "will be". The CEO and his assistant did ask to see a digital copy of the "FREE PROJECT" they have asked for.

Question 1
Not much, since they CEO and his assistant know nothing about design. They did ask to do a "free project", and as a Creative Design Director, only people who doesn't understand your design portfolio would ask that, unless they want the interviewee to REALLY gave "Free Design". **so DON'T DO IT.
