Postulated on the company's site. I received an email from the Lead Data Engineer asking me to prepare a slide presentation about myself and how my experience aligns with the role in their company. I scheduled the interview and started preparing the requested material. What happened next: About a week after scheduling the interview, I unexpectedly received a generic rejection email from the recruitment team, with no mention of the upcoming interview or any explanation. I followed up with the engineer (since the Calendly invitation hadn’t been cancelled) to clarify the situation, but I didn’t receive a response for nearly a week. Then, only 30 minutes before the scheduled interview, he wrote back to cancel motivating internal staffing changes that have shifted their hiring priorities. Overall impression: The process felt disorganised and disrespectful to candidates' time.
