The initial interview with the recruiter went smoothly. We discussed my relevant experience, and I felt confident that my background aligned with the role.
However, the prep meeting scheduled just one hour before the client interview had the opposite effect of what it was supposed to achieve. Rather than preparing me, it left me unsettled. The focus shifted away from my qualifications to unnecessary critiques, such as gestures, and even included comments that questioned my integrity.
After the final interview, I received no updates or feedback. Not knowing whether I was shortlisted or not was disappointing. A quick follow-up would have shown basic courtesy and respect for the applicant’s time and effort. To make it more challenging, the interview was held during the early hours of the morning, requiring me to adjust my schedule significantly just to attend.
