I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Koel Retail Technologies (Kontich, Antwerp) in Dec 2021
Interview
The interview process was a bit peculiar. The interviewer took his time to explain the operations of the company while giving me a tour of the warehouse. I was introduced to everyone on the team. Afterward, I was told to send an email detailing my income expectations if I still wanted the position.
After sending the email I was told that the interviewer was interviewing someone else but that I was still on the top of his list. I checked in each week for a month after that. Each check-in was met with positive feedback about my application (how they were still planning to hire me) while the interviewer promised to get back to me. These promises were usually a week or a day away, they always went unfulfilled.
It is unfortunate that this company has rejected me in such an indirect manner. I was excited about the opportunity to work with them. Now I have a negative view of the workplace if they are not able to directly communicate with interviewees their plan to hire or reject.

Question 1
I wasn't questioned during the interview. It was more of a long sales pitch on their end. The topic of family came up and he mentioned accommodations that could be made for mothers.
