I had a total of 2 interviews and 1 day of job shadowing. Ultimately I did not get the position because the VP of Sales and Marketing did not feel that I was prepared to speak with clients. I am not sure what he meant by this statement considering that I have held sales positions for over 15 years and have been one of the top performers for each companies that I have ever worked with. Per the VP, he is looking for candidates with great work ethics and who is looking to give 100% or more commitment for the position, in which I was fully prepared. The company promotes their slogan great people but obviously overlooks the great people who are being interviewed and perhaps this may be the reasoning for their high turnovers. This company obviously wasn't looking for great people. I personally feel the VP wants to keep the sales team a "Young" group of talent as he quoted during the interview and mentioned not to repeat this to HR sarcastically.
