      Senior Software Engineer Interview

      16 Feb 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Bengaluru
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Keystone Logic (Bengaluru) in Feb 2017

      Interview

First Round : The interviewer was very cool. He was asking questions about the standard java implementations and reason for using their approaches. He was knowledgeable and trying to test whether we got the basic understanding of the concepts right. Second Round : Some senior guy comes to take the interview. I was already a developer at one of the reputed MNC's and was getting more than average salary for my experience. He comes in ask for my actual CTC and expected CTC. (why the hell?) Then I think he got jealous hearing the same. He tried asking questions on front end, java, spring, hibernate. It was easy and I answered most of them. But in the end he started asking about the transaction managements and how it is handled for concurrent transaction. I wasn't worked much on them, So I struggled a little bit. Now he got a reason to reject me and hence he kept on asking the questions on the same.I explained him the concepts but he needed more implementations details. In the end, he just tells my Resume is perfect for any start up but needs to work on transactions. He never asked a single question on data structure or algorithms in the whole interview process. But told to improve on data structures and algorithms etc etc etc. He praised me little bit and praised himself also. and told to leave for the day. I have attended so many interviews but I rate this as my worst. I don't know why the interviewer was concerned with my package. Never any other interviewers have asked me for the same. The second interviewer was always trying to prove that I don't know anything and he has better knowledge. Startups need better interview process than this. Such a shame.
