I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Kaiser Permanente (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2020
Interview
There were 2 interviews. The first one was focused on my clinical skills (how would I treat/formulate a patient I was seeing). The second interview had more to do with ethical and interpersonal skills (what would you do in such an ethical dilemma?).
Present a case that's related to the population you believe you'll be treating in that department.
Overall, it was a fair and warm interview. There were 3-4 people interviewing me, which can be stressful, but they were all very nice.
I applied online. I interviewed at Kaiser Permanente (Pleasanton, CA)
Interview
Initial phone screen with then a phone screen with a manager (clinician), then 2 video interviews (both interviews with a panel of clinicians). Questions were pretty standard, “tell me about a time you disagreed with your supervisor,” asking about your theoretical orientation/approach to the work, vignette-based questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
“Tell me about a time you disagreed with a supervisor. How did you deal with it?”
I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Kaiser Permanente (Los Angeles, CA) in Nov 2013
Interview
Years ago I interviewed for a psychologist position. It was worse then the horrible oral exam I went through to get my psychology license. Fortunately, oral licensing exams are gone, and horrible job interviews with Kaiser Permanente are very rare. (I passed the licensing exam because I showed great restraint. Same with the job interview.)
