I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at KDB Management in Mar 2026
Interview
The first two calls I had with different employees at the company made this position seem promising. They even gave me an active project they were working on and that they wanted me to do a pre screen and share my notes. However, when it came time to meet with owner, that’s when things took a turn for the worst. The interview was nothing but BS questions and sizing me up on my personal background and education. No questions about my skills, the notes I took on the project, nothing. Then they make you do the typing test which is weird since I’m not applying to work at a call center and I have to listen to customers on the phone all day.
My advice to the owner: if you’re seeking someone who can fulfill your ridiculous expectations and have an ivy-league background like yourself, move to the northeast or better yet retire.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at KDB Management (Arizona City, AZ)
Interview
They invited me to the office and discussed more about my personal experience. However, after the interview, their secretary told me the boss decided not to hire a financial analyst anymore. I have no idea.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asking about past experience and knowledge related to construction.
I received a call from the owner. They did not have my resume and seemed completely unprepared for the interview. There was a big focus on my typing speed for some reason, which makes no sense since I type 55 wpm. In addition, the interview was only 7 minutes and when I started asking questions about the job I was told he had to make two more calls and had to go and hung up on me. If you can only invest 7 minutes in a qualified candidate that wants to learn about you, your company, and your goals, then frankly, I don't have time for you either. This was the most unprofessional phone interview I have ever experienced.

What books have you read? How will you overcome your slow typing speed (55 WPM)?
